It's Official - I am a Teacher

It's now completely official! I am an 8th grade Math teacher at a middle school in North Fulton County. Today was my first day of New Teacher Orientation and I was super excited to get the keys to my classroom! There have been several indications that this position and career change is ALL GOD.

One - out of 25 new teachers for the middle school, I am the only new 8th grade Math teacher.
Two - my position didn't need to be filled until after the summer started.
Three - In a very weird surreal way, I personally have met a good population of the other candidates that were being considered for the position. (that is a weird feeling by the way).
Four - the 8th grade at this middle school actually went down from 4 teacher teams to 3 teacher teams.

So once again, Yeah God!

My classroom is so enormous! In a truly dorky moment, I was walking around my classroom (in my cutie outfit and super cutie heels) and realized that as I was walking around the room that I had that monitoring stance going on... :) I almost checked my watch to see if the time for the test was up :)

House Plan ...

Dream Home Source sent me this house plan for the week.

What I like:
--> 5 bedrooms - don't ask me why but I love a house with 4 or more bedrooms.
--> One Floor - when I get old, I don't want to climb stairs... I just can't help my practicality :)
--> 3 car garage - self explanatory
--> One rockin kitchen that is open to the family living areas of the house
--> A HUGE patio... all I would need is someone to keep up the gardening part of it.

What I don't like:
--> Well, I have already extensively talked about my distaste for windows around the tub in the bathroom and this one has three.
--> This is kinda petty, since it is supposed to be a dream house and all, but there are so many corners on the outside of this house it would be so much more expensive to build. But I think much of this could be reworked quite easily.
